A PORTAL TO PROVENCE
Deeply rooted in the heart of the Santa Ynez Valley, Sunstone is a beautiful place to taste beautiful wines. Located just 35-minutes north of Santa Barbara, Sunstone seemingly transports visitors to the Provençal French countryside. Named after the vineyard estate’s exposed, sun-dappled shale and stones, Sunstone is a beautifully tranquil retreat where you can enjoy a glass of wine in our lavender and rosemary-filled courtyard, in our stone barrel-aging caves, or perhaps enjoy lunch at our picnic tables shaded by olive and oak trees.
EFFECTIVE MONDAY, DECEMBER 7TH, 2020, OUR TASTING ROOM IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED FOR WINE TASTING DUE TO THE CURRENT CALIFORNIA STAY-AT-HOME ORDER.
WE ANTICIPATE RE-OPENING FOR WINE TASTING IN APPROXIMATELY 3 WEEKS, PENDING STATE APPROVAL.
IN THE MEANTIME, WE REMAIN OPEN FOR CURBSIDE SALES & PICKUP 7 DAYS PER WEEK, 11AM-5PM.
ONCE WE RE-OPEN, HERE IS WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:
RESERVATIONS ARE RECOMMENDED ON WEEKENDS
Due to new COVID-19 re-opening requirements around social distancing, the amount of guests we can serve at one time is limited. While we will still accept walk-ins as availability permits, WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU MAKE A RESERVATION AHEAD OF TIME ON WEEKENDS. Without a reservation, it is possible you may have to wait for service and service is not guaranteed. Parties of more than 6 cannot be accommodated and multiple reservations for the same group are not permitted. No service will begin after 4:00pm.
Reservations are on a “First Come, First Served” basis, but current Sunstone Club Members will be given priority.

FACE COVERINGS FOR ALL
All Sunstone guests and staff are required to wear masks to help ensure our safety and yours. This recent mandate from the Santa Barbara County Health Department went into effect May 26th. Masks may be removed when you are seated at your table to eat and drink, but must be worn at all other times. If you do not have a mask, we would be happy to provide one to you.
All Sunstone guests and staff must practice social distancing. Please keep at least 6 feet apart between your party and others. We have changed our seating layout to ensure at least 6 feet between all tables, and we have eliminated at-the-bar service.
Seated Service Only
All Sunstone guests will be seated at a table instead of service standing at a bar. Seated experiences provide for a safer and more intimate customer experience.
No Self Service food or drink
Another Health Department requirement is that we eliminate all self-service of food and beverages. This means that our complimentary olive oil, bread and water stations will not be available right now. However, we will have bottles of water available for purchase.
MODIFIED RULES FOR Pets AND Kids
As you know, we are proud to be one of the most pet and family friendly wineries anywhere. We are happy to begin welcoming kids and pets to the estate again. However, to ensure safe distancing for all of our guests, all children must remain seated at the table at all times, and all pets must be on a leash and at the table at all times.
No Lawn Games… for now
For the time being, we will not be able to offer lawn games for your entertainment. We fully intend on bringing back this fun amenity for your enjoyment, but at this time it is safer for our guests to only touch surfaces necessary for eating, drinking, and personal hygiene.
Hand washing & Sanitizing
Speaking of personal hygiene, please wash your hands with soap and water frequently for at least 20 seconds. We will also have complimentary hand sanitizer available upon your request.
