Visiting Sunstone
Sunstone Winery is a vineyard estate and tasting room at 125 N Refugio Road in Santa Ynez, California — about 35 minutes north of Santa Barbara, and east of Solvang on Highway 246. The tasting room is open every day, 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. A tasting flight of five wines is $30 per person. Reservations are optional, and walk-in guests are seated as availability permits.

Deeply rooted in the heart of the Santa Ynez Valley, Sunstone is a beautiful place to taste beautiful wines. Located just 35 minutes north of Santa Barbara, Sunstone seemingly transports visitors to the Provençal French countryside. Named after the vineyard estate’s exposed, sun-dappled shale and stones, Sunstone is a beautifully tranquil retreat where you can enjoy a glass of wine in our lavender- and rosemary-filled courtyards and our barrel-aging stone caves, or perhaps lunch at our picnic tables on our expansive lawn shaded by olive and oak trees.

Private Tasting Experiences
Groups of 11 or more must book a private tasting experience in order to enjoy a full tasting flight. Alternatively, these groups may also enjoy wine by the glass or bottle.

Getting here
Location
Sunstone Vineyards, Winery and Villa is located just 35 minutes north of Santa Barbara, in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley. We are located at 125 N Refugio Road, Santa Ynez, CA 93460, a mile South of Hwy 246, next to the Santa Ynez River, just before the bridge.
There are two entrances on the west side of Refugio Road: the first entrance is for The Villa, the second is for the Tasting Room. If you get lost, call (805) 688-9463, press option 7 for the Tasting Room, from 10am–5pm daily.
Coming from the South
Take Hwy 101 North, exit on Hwy 246 Buellton, turn right. Follow Hwy 246 all the way through Solvang and into Santa Ynez. Turn right on Refugio Road.
Coming from the North
Head South on Hwy 101, exit at Buellton, Hwy 246, turn left, and after that the directions are the same as above.

We are closed on Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Holiday hours can change — please check before you travel.
