Sunstone Has Re-Opened

Here's How It Works

Our Tasting Room is Now Open 7 Days A Week! Please Read This Before Your Arrival!

To Our Valued Club Members and Guests,

Welcome back! We can’t express how excited we are to see you at the winery as we have re-opened for wine tasting!

Effective Friday, June 12th, 2020, our new operating hours will be:

Open for Wine Tasting 7 Days a Week, 11am- 5pm (Last Seating at 4:00pm)

Your guest experience will be very different from past visits as we re-open under very strict guidelines from multiple government agencies. Please read below about changes you need to know about while planning your visit to Sunstone.
IMPORTANT: Reservations are Highly Recommended on Weekends.

The amount of guests we can serve at one time is limited. While we will still accept walk-ins as availability permits, WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU MAKE A RESERVATION AHEAD OF TIME. Without a reservation, it is possible you may have to wait for service and service is not guaranteed. Parties of more than 6 cannot be accommodated. No service will begin after 4:00pm.

Reservations are on a “First Come, First Served” basis, but current Sunstone Club Members will be given priority.

All Sunstone guests and staff are required to wear masks to help ensure our safety and yours. This recent mandate from the Santa Barbara County Health Department went into effect May 26th. Masks may be removed when you are seated at your table to eat and drink, but must be worn at all other times. If you do not have a mask, we would be happy to provide one to you.

Social Distancing

All Sunstone guests and staff must practice social distancing. Please keep at least 6 feet apart between your party and others.  We have changed our seating layout to ensure at least 6 feet between all tables, and we have eliminated at-the-bar service.

Seated Service Only

All Sunstone guests will be seated at a table instead of service standing at a bar. Seated experiences provide for a safer and more intimate customer experience.

As you know, we are proud to be one of the most pet and family friendly wineries anywhere. We are happy to begin welcoming kids and pets to the estate again. However, to ensure safe distancing for all of our guests, all children must remain seated at the table at all times, and all pets must be on a leash and at the table at all times.

No Self Service food or drink

Another Health Department requirement is that we eliminate all self-service of food and beverages. This means that our complimentary olive oil, bread and water stations will not be available right now. However, we will have bottles of water available for purchase.

No Lawn Games… for now

For the time being, we will not be able to offer lawn games for your entertainment. We fully intend on bringing back this fun amenity for your enjoyment, but at this time it is safer for our guests to only touch surfaces necessary for eating, drinking, and personal hygiene.

Hand washing & Sanitizing

Speaking of personal hygiene, please wash your hands with soap and water frequently for at least 20 seconds. We will also have complimentary hand sanitizer available upon your request.

IMPORTANT: An inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. COVID-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. By visiting Sunstone Vineyards & Winery, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
