This recently released wine has notes of green apple and white pepper, which matches perfectly with the chopped apples, apple cider, apple cider vinegar, and pepper in the salad. Beef, of course, is a natural pairing with many red wines and this one is no exception. Our 2019 Five Eras is a Bordeaux-style red blend with a flavor profile that matches the dish perfectly. It has notes of blackberries and black pepper, which are both ingredients in the stew. The roasted coffee notes of the Guinness also match well with the toasted oak notes in the wine. Pinot can complement many different styles of turkey, from classic roasted turkey to grilled or even fried. This delicious recipe takes classic roasted turkey, but adds a cranberry barbecue glaze. The tart rhubarb and sour cherry notes in our 2019 Pinot Noir complement the same character in the cranberry glaze, while the sweet tobacco notes work well with the BBQ flavors. The higher acidity in the wine will also bring out the juiciness in the turkey. Our mouths are watering just thinking about this one!
